The Advanced Open Water course is actually the second part of a two-step process designed to help create better-trained, more thoroughly prepared entry-level divers. Therefore, it is not really an “Advanced” course per se, but rather a more advanced Open Water course (as opposed to the basic Open Water course). The Advanced Open Water course focuses on three areas:

  • Review and enhancement of basic core skills

  • Natural and compass navigation

  • Planning and making dives to 30m/100ft

We will also conduct a wreck dive, a night dive and a deep dive.

With the Enriched Air you will learn how to choose the appropriate blend for each dive, how to follow your depth limits and why, how to notice signs of oxygen toxicity, and how to properly analyze and label your tanks. The course consists of an online eLearning course to understand the theory of diving Nitrox, and an in-class session to practice analyzing and labeling as well as review with your instructor.

We believe this scuba rescue diver course is the most important dive course you can take. It is both challenging and rewarding because the training builds upon the skills you already know about preventing problems and managing them when they occur.

Additionally, you will learn how to assist other divers and enjoy the comfort of being able to handle situations as they happen.  This course is also your first step on the way to becoming a dive professional.

Upon completing the course, we often hear divers say the Scuba Rescue Diver is the best course they have ever taken.

The Drysuit Specialty course is built for certified divers who want to learn how to dive in a drysuit and dive the colder waters of British Columbia or other cold water destinations. Since the drysuit is an entirely different air space there are different techniques you need to learn to be able to comfortably and safely make a dive.
